Haunting post-punk filled with light yet suffocating atmosphere of lovely dread with no care to escape such fates. "Wither" is the highlight of this release for me, bouncing between a slow and fast pace, topped with the roll of drums, slank of naked bass, and brass to break the glass-like stillness.
Favorite track: Wither.
The two earliest Pankow recordings to see a release were “We Are the Joy” on one of the first Italian new wave compilations (Gathered), and following that “Wither” on a split 7” which was enclosed in the “Free8212” fanzine from Florence. Two other tracks that have never before been released appear together on Times, a gorgeous 10" vinyl coming courtesy Toronto-based Artoffact Records. This 10" features spectacular new artwork created by Pankow's own fm, and is fully authorized by the band. An essential document of one of Italy's most important electronic artists.

This is the most subtle of the B&F's, not a ton of new horror samples, more beat-driven (I am a lover of the soundscapes and samples) but you get in there with headphones and it's got that feel, that...BRAP!... so this is a must-have. A g-d would only hope there are more tapes. More... please, old rip beak! thenewspaper
